Came up with a title finally.
And you thought the party was big before...

Anyway, this officially picks up from where the Sneak Peak left off. From here on out, things are going to be picking up. :)

Now the fun can begin. Though I find the text on that screen kind of annoying to read.

Antelieris (Guest), January 6th, 2012, 10:48 pm

Am I wrong in saying that the size of this party puts the one in Infinite Undiscovery to shame?

Kuzer1000, January 7th, 2012, 9:31 am

Yes, finally, we get some story progress! Oh, and Afrohawkman, could you tell me how you make those backgrounds, because, I'll be honest, they're really well-made.

Andrew (Guest), January 7th, 2012, 10:38 am

Are they in that trap room from the previe?

Afrohawkman, January 7th, 2012, 10:39 am

I couldn't actually really do a good job at explaining how I did it. It was mostly drawing out what I wanted to do and then doing mostly guess work to get tiles and things. It's a lot of work for the most part. Lot of planning then from there actually making it into sprites.

jakeroo123, January 7th, 2012, 10:51 am

@1ce_k1d: Mine did.

Afrohawkman, January 7th, 2012, 11:05 am

Actually mine did for a little too. I'm sure it was just a minor glitch.

Kuzer1000, January 7th, 2012, 12:03 pm

@Afrohawkman: Alright, thanks. The thing is, my comic requires a custom background that I would like to make myself. What program did you use to make it? GIMP? Photoshop?

DarkMario1000, January 7th, 2012, 12:28 pm

Alrighty!
Onwards to another adventure. Now we're really in a game…not like they all were before (with the exception of your special-made characters)

Gigi19972010, January 7th, 2012, 1:22 pm

Let the fun begin!

Trevor The Hedgehog (Guest), January 7th, 2012, 3:21 pm

*Eye Twitches*
So...you decided to make this like Saw?!?!
WHAT'S NEXT, THE BAD GUY TURNS OUT TO BE, WHAT, TOAD?!

Afrohawkman, January 7th, 2012, 7:44 pm

Short answer: No. This is nothing like Saw.

Long answer: This is Saw. "Hi! I'm going to kidnap you and place you in a room where you have relatively no freedom and I'm going to put you in a 'trap' that you have to do something really ironic and extremely painful that most human beings wouldn't be able to do in order to 'get better'! In real life half of these traps are literally impossible to create without someone else's help, tons of engineering knowledge, lots of raw materials, and a very sick and twisted mind but here I only need the help of a small woman who knows nothing at all about ANY OF THOSE THINGS. I sure hope you learn something about yourself while you're FRANTICALLY STRUGGLING ABOUT YOUR LIFE and therefore have absolutely NO WAY OF THINKING LOGICALLY WHILE THAT HAPPENS. HAVE FUN JERKWAD." and then you die.

Us: "Hi! This is a new castle! You have complete freedom! It's not even frightening! I created this all with a mysteriouuusss poweeerrr. Come up here and rescue this Princess!" and then it's a light comedy about getting to the top of a castle.

So, once again, no, this is not like the Saw movies.

@Kuzer1000: I used GIMP but anything like Photoshop or Paint.net will work. I highly recommend anything that allows you to have multiple layers. That made my process a ton easier.

Kuzer1000, January 7th, 2012, 11:07 pm

@Afrohawkman: How did you create all the blended colors, like in panel 2, you can notice on the wall, if you look closely, that two colors slightly blend into each other.

And thank you for the tip about layers. I do use those a lot when making my comics, but i'm still having trouble when it comes to overlapping two images.

I am also trying to master shadows under the characters, to make it seem more realistic. I'm definitely sure that involves layers as well.

Also, one more question, how long did it take you to create that background? A day? Two days? A week?

bartekolo, January 8th, 2012, 4:11 am

@Afrohawkman
Hey I knew you're making it in GIMP but I have an question: is to make blur without interrupt on a background I need to add something (for example : sprite) on a different layer and then make blur on it?

Afrohawkman, January 8th, 2012, 11:09 am

@Kuzer1000: I think I just chose colors close to each of them and added in a few lines of it to make it seem like it blended. It took me...hmm...well, if I had to guess I'd say a few days. A lot of times I took breaks but once I got the general layout down, from there it was just experimenting with all of my ideas. Just make sure before you start you have a general idea of what you want it to look like. Draw out something at the very least. Otherwise you'll get started and be really confused as to what you want it to look like.

@bartekolo: I'd say use a different layer just because it's easier to move around separate from whatever else it is you're blurring. It's also a good way of keeping a copy of the original just in case you don't like what you blurred.

gamekidg7, January 8th, 2012, 4:01 pm

who's the short blond who looks like zelda but isn't wearing a crown?

Afrohawkman, January 8th, 2012, 4:49 pm

Hyro VI, January 9th, 2012, 10:59 am

A new adventure BEGINS!!

Trollguy_&_Memeboi (Guest), January 9th, 2012, 8:19 pm

If Princess Peach Toadstool has any candy with her, KELSEY should be able to find her very quickly!

Kuzer1000, January 10th, 2012, 1:53 pm

@Afrohawkman: Alright thanks. I have the background in my latest comic. Could you look at it and tell me what you think? My comic is called "Kirbys of the Alternate Dimension."

Fierce Link, January 12th, 2012, 4:01 pm

About time...
Atlest zelda has camed down.

Cascade, June 10th, 2013, 3:16 pm

Is there ANYTHING that stands a chance of beating them? Way too many heroes... and anti-heroes... and possible villans...
